Welcome to the Department of Electrical Engineering at B.S.Patel Polytechnic. The department of Electrical Engineering was established in the year 2001 with the intake of 60 and has made outstanding progress in the last 20 years.

Well-qualified and dedicated faculty members with rich teaching experience are the strength of the department.

The Department follows the philosophy of imparting quality education through rigorous teaching-learning, hands-on expertise and curricular and co-curricular activities. On one side, the classes are engaged with complete dedication and regularity whereas on the other side, activities like technical workshops, Industrial visits, Expert Lectures etc are organized with equal enthusiasm. It helps in building an all-round personality of students. Department consists of various well equipped laboratories where all the students can do hands-on practice individually, which will increase their confidence to face the practical problems in the field of Electrical Engineering.

Our curriculum goes through regular modifications to meet the recent industrial trends so that our students can get the knowledge beyond regular syllabus. The Department also focuses on the emerging areas of electrical engineering such as Renewable energy sources (Solar, wind and Biogas), Electrical Vehicles and Electrical Energy Storage systems.

In collaboration with BOSCH INDIA FOUNDATION a Center of excellence (Artisan Training Center) has been developed in our university for Skill Development of electrical engineering students.
