Introduction :
A Fire Safety Workshop was organized at B. S. Patel Polytechnic and Institute of Technology from 29/01/2025 to 30/01/2025 for the final-year engineering students as a part of Building Services Subject. The event aimed to raise awareness about fire hazards, prevention methods, and emergency response procedures. The workshop was conducted in collaboration with the help of marine department.
Objectives:
The primary objectives of the workshop were:
• To educate students about fire safety principles.
• To demonstrate the proper use of fire extinguishers and other firefighting equipment.
• To train students on emergency evacuation procedures.
• To emphasize the importance of fire safety measures in engineering workplaces.
Workshop Details: The workshop was held at Fire Training Centre, Behind Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Ganpat University, Kherva and commenced with an inaugural address by the Subject teachers, who highlighted the significance of fire safety in both academic and professional settings. The event was divided into theoretical and practical sessions.
